Short Film, Lucile and the Idleness of the Mechanical Men, Creates Unorthodox Future

Lucile and the Idleness of the Mechanical Men

Actress Emily Eaves as Lucile, playing with old windup tin toys.

Synopsis:

Lucile and the Idleness of the Mechanical Men is set in a future were men are going extinct and women are thriving. A new ice age is upon us, the use of electricity is now history and men are being replaced by mannequin-like, wind-up robots.

Lucile and the Idleness of the Mechanical Men, written and directed by Iosu Vakerizzo, is a half hour long film set in the future.

It is an unorthodox future that someone from the 1800s might have imagined, in a comedy that talks about our love affair with technology.

Vakerizzo credits Italian writer/director, Federico Fellini on being a major creative influence on the style and theme of this short film.

Lucile and the Idleness of the Mechanical Men was filmed in Spittal of Glenshee and Bournemouth.

This film's cast:
Emily Eaves,
